New Video For Memorial Day

Im_going_home

Fine Spirits has produced our first ever music video, “Sing Your Way Home,” just in time for the 2015 Memorial Day weekend.

This video, however, is not about Fine Spirits. It is a tribute to those in military service who often travel so far away from home and give up so much.

The song speaks to us about the simple but profound joy of belonging, of having a place to return to at the end of the day or the end of a journey. It reminds us that, at the end of every battle, there is a resting place where we are accepted and loved and missed.

We hope it showcases the courage and the loving sacrifice of every soldier who now defends or has ever defended our country. In it, we also salute their families who gave up fathers, daughters, aunts, husbands, mothers, wives, uncles, and sons, for months or even years, some who lost them forever.

Click here to watch the video on our You Tube channel.

You will find no marching bands or 21-gun-salutes in this work.  It is about something much deeper, more timeless, and much more intimate. It is about family and country. It is about the ties that bind. It is about love that endures great distances and much time apart. It is about home.

We sincerely hope you enjoy it.  If you have family or friends who have served or who currently serve in our armed forces,  send them a link to our video. Consider adding a personal note of thanks to them for their hard work.

Please think about  sharing it with all of your email, Facebook, Twitter and other social media contacts so they can do the same for their loved ones.

Happy Memorial Day 2015 from Fine Spirits. Enjoy!

Fine Spirits Recording Again

As all our fans know, we released our first album, Happy Hour, last summer.

This past Thursday night, we went back into the recording studio to start work on our newest project. We don’t want to say too much, just yet, but Gary Tullier, our sound-master extraordinaire, is helping us put together something new.

Watch for more news soon!

In February, we auditioned to sing the National Anthem for the 2015 Spring Thoroughbred Season at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.  We were featured in a news video of the auditions.

We are proud to announce that we’ve been chosen to perform at the races on Sunday, May 17.

As on all Sunday race days, the gates will open at 11:30am. We will be singing The Star Spangled Banner at 1:05pm when the pre-racing ceremonies begin, and the first race will begin at 1:35pm.

Singing the National Anthem at Lone Star Park is a long held tradition for Fine Spirits. Come out and join us as we celebrate the approach of summer.

Local Mom Tonya Rollins is raising funds for a double lung transplant. Last Saturday afternoon, Fine Spirits participated in the “Lungs For Tonya” Benefit Concert & Chili Cook-Off at First Christian Church in Anna, Tx.

We took the floor first and did a set of some of our favorites, including our new “Joy To The World (Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog)”, “Under the Boardwalk” and “It’s All Right.” Next, a local violinist, Erin Mansur, played for Tonya, and then The Joey James Band performed.

As we sang, the cook-off heated up. All around us, the crowd partook of the chili competition and sampled the sweets provided by the local ladies. The brownies and the coconut cream pie were particularly yummy.

Joey James invited us to join him in a song and we did an impromptu rendition of (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay.

If you missed the fun but would still like to help Tonya, her next fundraiser will be held May 30th. Click the image below to visit the Facebook page for the event. We will not be performing, but we encourage you to attend, or to donate on her Go Fund Me page.

Come out to The First Christian Church in Anna, Tx on Saturday, March 28th, and help us fund a worthy cause. Local Mom Tonya Rollins is raising money for a double lung transplant.

The excitement will begin at 11am. We will be first up on the roster, singing some of our favorite songs. Local violinist Erin Mansur will take the stage next. And, finally, The Joey James Band will perform.

There will also be a chili cook-off and desserts, so come hungry. All donations raised will go to help Tonya with medical expenses. If you can’t make it to the Benefit and would still like to help, Tonya is taking donations on her Go Fund Me page.

Our album “Happy Hour” will also be available for purchase and a portion of those proceeds will be donated to Tonya.
