CONCERT FOR A CURE

Our friend, Elizabeth Leonard, is a moving performer & a take action person.  In her passion to make a difference in the fight against cancer, she is putting on a benefit concert on Friday, September 7th at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.  We highly encourage everyone to follow the link below and purchase tickets.  You will be glad you did.

Summertime Blues

Well, by now, you’re probably sitting by the pool, sipping on lemonade (or your favorite beverage), thinking, “I wonder what Fine Spirits is up to?”

We recently went into the recording studio and put down some tracks for about a dozen songs. You can listen to a couple of them by clinking on “Recordings” on the top menu. As more recordings become available, we will post them on that page. So, keep checking back to see what’s new. We are also looking at new music. And we’re already thinking about our next recording session.

The next few weeks are going to be a very exciting time. There is so much great music out there, and we really enjoy performing. Thanks goes out to Gary Tullier for putting together these recordings. Can’t wait to see the new studio.

Happy Independence Day

We want to wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day. It’s a great day to celebrate freedom.

Incidentally, we have posted our first recording from Tuesday night. From the main menu, choose “Recordings”. More to come…

Recording Session

Last night, we had our first of hopefully many professional recording sessions. We learned quickly that the key to success is to be relaxed and have fun. That really makes all the difference. Our engineer was very professional, and his mastery of sound equipment and software is impressive.

We recorded about ten songs, across many genres, including one Christmas piece. The “raw” recordings actually sounded quite good. And after a little work in “post”, as they say, we should have some really good recordings. We will definitely return for more sessions. It was productive, and we had a little fun; but, it was hard work, and we were all exhausted afterward.

In the next week or so, check on our site, http://finespiritsmusic.com, and have a listen.

See you soon.
