…will sing for Hugs…Cafe

We had a great time helping Hugs Cafe celebrate their first year anniversary in downtown McKinney. The food is excellent and the service too.  But what brings it all together for any patron is the teamwork and warm hospitality.  All employees are visibly happy to be working on the team.  Marty is pictured with us below.  She kept things lively with her dancing to our songs a the front door.  Ruth Thompson and team have built a special place for all to visit. If you would like to learn more about Ruth and the Hugs non-profit mission, please see this article in the Dallas Observer.

Recording Follow-Up

Next week, we’ll be returning to the studio to record more music, and to put some finishing touches on some stuff we recorded in July. When we’re finished, we should have a pretty good collection, and we plan to release a CD soon. As more music gets produced, we will upload samples right here. So, keep checking this site, and visit and “like” our Facebook page for updates, new recordings, upcoming performances and more.

To listen to us, click on “recordings” at the top of the main page. Thank you for taking time to listen.

Recording Session

Last night, we had our first of hopefully many professional recording sessions. We learned quickly that the key to success is to be relaxed and have fun. That really makes all the difference. Our engineer was very professional, and his mastery of sound equipment and software is impressive.

We recorded about ten songs, across many genres, including one Christmas piece. The “raw” recordings actually sounded quite good. And after a little work in “post”, as they say, we should have some really good recordings. We will definitely return for more sessions. It was productive, and we had a little fun; but, it was hard work, and we were all exhausted afterward.

In the next week or so, check on our site, http://finespiritsmusic.com, and have a listen.

See you soon.
